How to Buy ShipChain (SHIP)

Step 1 – Signup to Kraken

In the beginning you'll need to buy one of the major currencies. Exchanges commonly accept either Bitcoin (BTC) or Ethereum (ETH) in exchange for any other Cryptocurrency. Click below to register and to get Bitcoin or Ethereum.

Step 2 – Transfer Your Ethereum or Bitcoin to an Crypto Exchange

Your Bitcoin or Ethereum has to be sent over to an Exchange now. Every exchange has a deposit form that is identical. ShipChain (SHIP) is available on Binance, so we will use that as an illustration. Not sure on how to send funds from Coinbase to an Cryptocurrency Exchange? (Follow this manual)

Make sure you have chosen the right coin you wish to deposit.

BTC must be sent to a BTC deposit address, Ethereum to an ETH deposit address, etcetera. In the case you are working with a decentralized exchange, such as Airswap or DDEX could be different (Follow our manual).

Step 3 – Locate ShipChain (SHIP)

As soon as your deposit has been verified, you will now have access to your assets and you can launch buying and trading. To invest in ShipChain (SHIP) on Binance, you will want to go to the tab which is called “Exchange” and after that click on “Basic”.

To find ShipChain (SHIP), you will need to put the short name of the asset (SHIP) into the search-box, which is highlighted in the image. Make sure you have choosen the right grouping, we have highlighted this too. Click on “SHIP/BTC” to proceed.

Step 4 – Acquisition of ShipChain (SHIP)

As soon as you've found ShipChain (SHIP), you will be given a Chart with Prices (in the Center of the image) and a few Order Books (on the Left of the image). For now we are going to make our own Limit Order.

The ”Price” field will be filled automatically with the most latest price ShipChain (SHIP) was sold for. You can change this to your desired rate. The ”Amount” field is the amount of SHIP you like to purchase. The field with the “Total” tag is the aggregated price in Bitcoin that you'll settle for the whole quantity of SHIP.

If you're satisfied, make a mouse click on “Buy SHIP”. Your plan will be filled when a Vendor trades their SHIP for the price you offered.

Step 5 – Withdraw ShipChain (SHIP)

Unless you are frequently trading, best advise is not to keep coins on an Crypto Exchange for an extensive time period. To take off your ShipChain (SHIP), go to the ”Funds” tab and click on “Withdraw”. ShipChain (SHIP) can be securely stored using a Wallet, e.g. MyEtherWallet. (MyEtherWallet Setup Guide)

Locate ShipChain (SHIP) by using the provided drop-down box. Enter the volumen of ShipChain (SHIP) you'd wish to withdraw. Take into account the displayed fees/minimums. Also make sure you have filled your right withdraw address.

If you are satisfied, make a mouse click on “Submit”. You could be requested for verfication via email/phone ahead of a take off.
